We are often asked by our patients if we have a toothbrush that we recommend and our answer is an emphatic "YES". The toothbrush that we recommend is the Sonicare toothbrush by Philips.
During our careers, we have "test-driven" many toothbrushes and we have yet to come across a toothbrush that surpasses the Sonicare in its effectiveness, comfort, durability and ease of use. Utilizing a sonic technology, the Sonicare gently and thoroughly removes plaque and debris (even in hard to reach areas) around your teeth by simply positioning the bristles gently against your teeth and gumline and allowing the sonic action of the bristles do all the cleaning for you. There is no scrubbing; you simply let the brush do the work for you.
Patients are often confused by the different types of Sonicare toothbrushes available in stores and wonder which is right for them. Typically the price differences in the Sonicares depend on the different features that are (not) included (timer settings, sonic settings, power charger). We personally believe that you should purchase the Sonicare that you can comfortably afford since they all utilize the exact same sonic technology.
